Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Schedule

Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday with some call coverage on weekends

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services is responsible for providing direct patient care across three key areas: Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU. The RN must be adaptable and capable of functioning as the primary caregiver in all areas of surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and document care provided to patients.
• Provide emotional support and patient education.
• Coordinate patient transfers and recover patients in PACU.
• Circulate surgical cases and assist in processing instruments and equipment.
• Adhere to principles of infection control and departmental policies.
• Follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN licensure.
• 3 years of experience in Pre-op, OR, and PACU preferred.
• ACLS certification is required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Scrub experience is preferred.
