Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg and Nephrology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing treatment in a 20-bed unit focused on transplant nephrology. Unit Information Patient Ratios: 1:6 Staffing Description: Unit secretary available during the day, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and a unit educator on site. Documentation System: Meditech Weekend Shifts Requirement: Three (3) shifts per month Floating Policy: Agency/contract nurses float first as necessary. Experience Requirements: Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, and dialysis preferred. Key Responsibilities The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following: Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes in condition to the healthcare team. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Qualifications Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Med/Surg or related setting is preferred. Dress Code Royal blue scrubs are required, and black scrub pants may also be worn. Additional Information Virtual nursing support is available to facilitate patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on their direct patient care responsibilities.
