Job Summary

The Assistant Service Supervisor supports the Service Manager in overseeing daily operations for vending, micro market, and automated retail service routes. This role focuses on ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient route execution, consistent equipment uptime, and strong team performance. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who leads by example and is comfortable working directly in the field alongside service teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Service Supervisor in coordinating daily vending, micro market, and automated retail service operations across assigned routes.
• Monitor route performance to ensure timely restocking, servicing, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead and motivate field service team members by demonstrating best practices and hands-on problem-solving.
• Resolve operational challenges quickly, including equipment malfunctions, route delays, and customer service issues.
• Track equipment uptime and coordinate with technicians or vendors to minimize service disruptions.
• Collaborate with the Service Supervisor to evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations across all service locations.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Required Qualifications

• Prior Lead or Supervisor experience in vending, retail operations, route management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address operational issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both team members and customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across service routes.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various service locations within the coverage area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting or supervising a field service or route-based team.
• Familiarity with vending, micro market, or automated retail equipment and operations.
• Experience with route optimization or service scheduling tools.
• Background in customer service management within a retail or hospitality setting.

Technical Skills

• Basic proficiency with route management or inventory tracking software.
• Comfort using mobile devices and applications for real-time service updates.
• Understanding of vending or automated retail equipment functionality and troubleshooting basics.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, inventory, and service reports.
