Surgical Scrub Technician

$24 - $30 per hour

Seeking a detail-oriented Scrub technician to support a busy clinic. This position requires experience in passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting physicians during ophthalmic surgical procedures.

Type: Full time

Location: On-site in Oak Brook, IL

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 4:00PM (32 to 40 hours depending on cases; start/end times vary; no on-call, weekends, overnights, or holidays)

Pay: $24 - $30/hr

Qualifications:

Open to training on eye specialties
Technical Skills: Experience scrubbing all day for surgical procedures and managing surgical instrumentation.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of sterile fields, instrument processing, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Scrubs for all ophthalmic procedures, including specialty and plastic cases.
Passes instruments and assists physicians during surgical procedures.
Maintains a strict sterile field throughout all cases.
Handles instrument processing and undergoes cross-training in sterile processing over time.
Assists with inventory control for the operating rooms.
Collaborates daily within a busy environment
Manages a high-volume workload, maintaining efficiency across 35-40 cases per day.
