Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Work It PT, located in the vibrant community of Lodi, California. In this full-time role, you'll play a critical part in supporting our mission of delivering exceptional orthopedic care. Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans provided by the supervising Physical Therapist to effectively address patient-specific musculoskeletal issues.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, instruct on functional activities, and provide mobility training to enhance their daily living skills.
• Utilize and administer various therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy, to promote patient recovery.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and reporting significant changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and effective injury prevention strategies to encourage self-management and adherence to therapy.
• Collaborate intimately with the entire healthcare team, participating in regular meetings to discuss patient care plans and coordinate interventions aimed at maximizing outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, which may include individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or managing chronic pain conditions. This role demands compassion and a strong commitment to patient-centric care, as you will be responsible for encouraging a positive rehabilitation experience. You'll interact with a diverse range of patients, from athletes to seniors, addressing their unique recovery challenges.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or equivalent experience including clinical rotations.
• Proficient in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of modalities to enhance patient recovery.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on nurturing a patient-centered atmosphere.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly valued.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in a multidisciplinary team setting with a focus on outpatient care.
• Familiarity with current physical therapy practices and advancements in therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
