Count Room Clerk

Job Posting Essential Duties/Core Competencies: Collect, count and bundle vouchers and currency from gaming machines and bill acceptors. Fill orders for booth fills and transports to cage locations; obtains proper signatures on fill documentation from cashiers and/or slot booth personnel; collects all bulk coin transfers from slot booths and cashiers. Perform the following machine operator duties as assigned: accumulates currency to be counted and sorted by denomination; enters currency into the machine for count verification; straps counted currency; and seals all currency in plastic. Weigh and Wrap process using Glory machines. Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Attend periodic meetings and training sessions. Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Work/Educational Experience: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations. Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference. Ability to create, read and analyze spread sheets of statistical data. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on the property or some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
