TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Medical-Surgical nursing experience - Ability to care for telemetry patients - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills - Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions Description: General information about the unit includes having 36 beds. The number of staff varies by shift and census. Patient ratios are 6:1. Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, enteral feeding pumps, Bipaps, and Vapotherms. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. There may be a requirement to float to other medical-surgical units based on staffing needs. Scrub color for nurses is royal blue, while other staff wear wine. Preferred or nice-to-have skills include telemetry experience, renal or dialysis patient care experience, ACLS certification, and Meditech experience. Typical procedures performed on the unit include telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation, care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis coordination, and post-dialysis assessment. Additional procedures involve IV therapy and medication administration, blood product administration, wound care management, and central line care and maintenance. Additionally, enteral feeding management is performed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Adaptability in a fast-paced environment is essential. Excellent communication with interdisciplinary teams is required. A compassionate, patient-centered approach is critical. Dependability and accountability are highly valued. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively is necessary.
