About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead its global procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and driving a global procurement strategy to optimize spending, enhance supplier relationships, and achieve cost savings. This role involves leading a global team across multiple regions, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and requires a strategic partnership with regional P&L leaders and the executive leadership team. The CPO will be accountable for the development and execution of a 3-5 year procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the procurement function. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's or MBA preferred, and at least 15 years' experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, particularly within the manufacturing, industrial, or chemical industries. A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience is required, with a strong preference for those who have managed global teams. The role demands an individual with excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, business acumen, and a proven track record in negotiation and building high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will also have deep financial acumen, be adept at problem-solving, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
