About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CPO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's program strategy, planning, execution, and performance. This role is pivotal in ensuring service excellence, program outcomes, and the effective delivery of services. The successful candidate will be a key collaborator with funding sources, community partners, and other stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and advance its mission. The CPO will also be tasked with monitoring emerging trends and best practices in the youth, family, adult, and nonprofit service sectors to drive innovation and organizational effectiveness. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the human services sector. The role requires a deep understanding of the youth and family services sector, a commitment to the company's mission, and a proven track record in program leadership, including assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have highly developed skills in advocacy, negotiation, collaboration, and the cultivation of strategic relationships, particularly with government agencies, payors, and funders. Experience in developing community-based alternatives to incarceration or out-of-home placement for young people, as well as knowledge of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems is required, with experience in using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system being strongly preferred. The role also demands the ability and willingness to travel frequently.
