Summary The Strategic Account Manager will have the responsibilities of increasing profitable rental revenue and maximizing market share with a set customer base of key accounts, and national accounts within that market. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, along with assessing prospective clients, these individuals are tasked with attending networking events, CAT National Account meetings, creating new client presentations and facilitating client meetings. They must be customer oriented to explain the products to clients, value selling, as well as be available to address issues and concerns. This position receives a base salary, plus a monthly commission incentive plan. We provide a company cell phone and vehicle allowance and access to top sales technology giving you the resources to succeed. Essential Functions Grow and develop rental revenue, as well as understand market dynamics, key customers, and national accounts. Develop and implement strategies to identify revenue opportunities within the industrial segment to meet goals and objectives. Offering a full range of products and services to new and current customers, including specialty product lines. Involvement in any relevant trade associations. Communicate, assist, support, and pass leads, ideas, and opportunities to CAT Rental Store sales teams, along with CAT National Account Managers. Maintain and update the CRM tool (Sales Link) to record and document contacts and all sales activity. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred A minimum of one five years of outside sales experience preferably with construction equipment or related equipment Strong planning, problem solving and negotiation skills are a must Solid interpersonal skills Computer Skills Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license Workplace Requirements The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.
