Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required. - Level I trauma experience required. - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Epic charting experience required. License: - State license required. Certifications: - ACLS - BCLS - PALS - TNCC - ENPC (preferred) - NIH Must-Have: - Experience in high patient-to-nurse ratios. - Agreement to work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule. - Acknowledgment of high ratios, which may increase depending on patient volume. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The nursing staff is expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6, which could increase based on patient influx. The facility is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive care in various medical emergencies. The role involves critical decision-making, effective communication, and a strong background in trauma care. Nurses will engage in patient assessment, treatment planning, and execution of nursing interventions. The position requires proficiency in advanced nursing techniques and compliance with established protocols. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Nurses should possess strong skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle high-stress situations and provide high-quality care under pressure. Preferred experience includes exposure to continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration. Triage experience is also beneficial but not mandatory.
