Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Unit of a 220-bed acute-care hospital
• 41-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Medical/Surgical-Telemetry specialty serving patients of all ages
• Common diagnoses include post-op orthopedic procedures and total joint replacements
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend and as needed
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Flexibility to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care ensuring continuity and appropriateness of coverage across the unit
• Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• No specific scrub color required, but casual wear is not acceptable
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
