The unit operates on a closed ICU model, where all patients receive care from the same team. Advanced practice providers are the primary care providers, supported by admitting surgical teams and specialists. The care model includes a multispecialty team, with clinicians supervised by in-house attending ICU staff physicians available 24/7 and supported by critical care fellows.
