Phlebotomist- Full Time in Cypress, Texas

Sagis Diagnostics is a physician-led, subspecialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas. Our lab is driven by a team of board-certified pathologists who are passionate about delivering cutting-edge diagnostic services. We provide the highest-quality pathology services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals across the region.Reports to: Office Manager and Technical SupervisorLOCATION: Cypress, TX Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pmJob Duties and Responsibilities:Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of blood specimens.Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify the patient.Properly label specimens and complete the requisition form via paper or online portal.Follow policies and procedures to properly pack and ship specimens.Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff.Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base.Follow universal precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens.Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelinesInform Supervisor of daily tasks, unusual problems, or deviations from established procedures.Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures of Sagis while working at the physician’s office.Pick-up, package, and ship specimens when needed.High-school or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience requiredExcellent phlebotomy skillsClean driving record and valid driver license requiredReliable mode of transportation requiredProficient in data entry requiredExcellent customer service skills requiredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite requiredMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic/medical office/lab setting.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, write, file, sit for extended periods of time, reach, push, pull, drive personal vehicle and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds without assistance.The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.Why Join Sagis?At Sagis, we are committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment where every team member can thrive.
