Sumbul Siddiqui for City Council: Paid Canvasser
The Committee to Elect Sumbul Siddiqui is hiring paid canvassers for our outreach effort leading up to the City Council election on November 4th, 2025. Paid canvassers will work in tandem with the campaign team to perform outreach that will maximize our efforts to reelect Councillor Siddiqui. Prior campaign experience is welcome but not necessary we'll provide training!
Pay is $20/hr. We are looking for a commitment of 10-15 hrs/wk.
Responsibilities
- Knock doors: canvass door-to-door
- Represent Councillor Siddiqui and deliver a compelling campaign message
- Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- Achieve and exceed weekly door goals
Qualifications
- Outgoing attitude coupled with a strong and consistent work ethic
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (up to three hours)
- Reliable transportation in the city (all canvassing takes place in Cambridge)
- Access to a reliable phone with cellular data
- Canvassing hours are M-F from 5PM to sundown and Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to sundown. All canvassing must happen during these times
- Experience with campaigns and MiniVAN, our canvassing software, is a plus
