Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility in Gainesville, Florida. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical conditions, functional abilities, and therapy needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that align with patients' rehabilitation goals and functional outcomes.
• Providing hands-on therapy including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and applying appropriate modalities tailored to each patient.
• Educating patients and their families about home exercise programs, pain management strategies, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing recovery.
• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care and enhance patient satisfaction and results.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices and integrating evidence-based techniques into patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. You will work closely with patients from various backgrounds and age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs and preferences. By fostering a supportive environment, you will help empower patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A Doctorate or Master's degree is preferred.
• A current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy or related fields.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to evaluate and implement various therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a rehabilitation facility or outpatient clinic and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be a plus. Experience with advanced therapeutic modalities and a background in patient education initiatives will further enhance your fit for this role.

Compensation and Benefits
