Corporate Development & Project Finance Manager

Role Description This role drives the corporate‑development and capital agenda across Avolta's renewable natural gas (RNG) portfolio. It owns M&A execution, deal structuring, and the modeling of new project and construction debt, and partners with the VP of Finance on capital allocation. It is an analytically demanding seat on the team expected to operate with a high degree of independence in the deal room while collaborating across development, engineering, operations, and legal to ensure every project is economically sound, financeable, and aligned with Avolta's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and execute RNG development and acquisition opportunities — building and maintaining transaction models with full valuation and scenario analysis at the project and portfolio level. Structure and model project and construction debt and equity; lead lender and investor presentations and coordinate due diligence with internal teams and external advisors. Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal and board approval. Support negotiation of commercial contracts (off‑take agreements, gas rights) and lead internal credit‑document review and covenant analysis. Support ITC loan‑reserve and related financing documentation. Lead post‑close integration planning, value‑capture tracking, and ongoing project‑performance monitoring. Serve as cross‑trained backup on FP&A functions. Required Qualifications 6–8 years in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or project finance; infrastructure or energy finance experience strongly preferred. Advanced financial modeling, including transaction and project‑finance / construction‑draw models, with deep Excel proficiency — debt sizing, coverage ratios, scenario and sensitivity analysis. Working knowledge of credit agreements and debt structuring, plus the ability to interpret financial statements and capital structures to support transaction execution. Strong analytical skills to evaluate project economics, model cash flows, and assess risks and returns. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear investment materials and present to boards, lenders, and investors. Preferred Qualifications CFA designation or MBA Familiarity with construction lending facilities Energy, infrastructure or renewables exposure (RNG, ITC, 45Z) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
