WR is one of the fastest growing immigration service providers worldwide with over 40 attorneys and 150 immigration professionals working out of offices in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Shanghai.The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate billing records, processing deposits, performing reconciliations, and support tracking of billing activity across our firm. This role works alongside other accountants under the supervision of the Financial Controller, and is a critical part of the operational and financial success of the firm.We are looking to add a Staff Accountant to our headquarters in Santa Monica. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires approximately 1-2 days of in-office presence.Responsibilities:Prepare and issue accurate client invoices in a timely manner, in accordance with firm policies and client agreementsManage the accounts receivable process, including tracking payments, following up on outstanding balances, and resolving billing discrepanciesMaintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity across billing and accounting systemsLeverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to organize, analyze, and report on financial data (e.g., using formulas, pivot tables, charts)Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure accurate client billing and proper allocation of legal fees and costsReconcile billing and payment records regularly to ensure up-to-date financial reportingAssist with month-end and year-end financial closing processesCommunicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address billing questions and financial mattersAdditional projects and tasks as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree required; major in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred2+ years of experience in full cycle accountingSolid understanding of bookkeeping principlesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills, specifically when dealing with numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and Salesforce, NetSuite, or FinancialForceProficiency in English and in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailInterested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume.
