In addition, Applied Energy Systems is ISO certified providing precision welding services to the medical device industry and is a sales representative to a leading manufacturer of welding equipment.Position Overview:The TIG Welder will support our Production Department by manually TIG welding and semi-automatically orbitally welding high and ultra-high purity gas delivery gas purification system components. This position requires an understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and job travelers. The candidate must have good manual dexterity, experience with mechanical assembly and manufacturing measuring and math skills.Responsibilities Include:Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, cleaning, and aligning components before weldingWeld both large and small diameter stainless steel tubingRead project drawings, specifications, work orders, and proceduresPosition, align, and set-up components according to specificationsIdentify faulty components and/or test and inspect welded surfaces for qualityPerform standard TIG and tack welding proceduresSafely operate orbital welding equipmentComplete production paperwork and recordkeepingMaintain a clean, neat, and safe work area (5S)Willing to work overtime as requiredEffectively interface with team members for component and equipment resourcesEssential Skills:Quality/detail oriented with the ability to achieve repeatable resultsStrong mechanical aptitudeExcellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to work with and handle small instruments and componentsStrong appreciation for time management, priorities, and deadlinesGTAW (TIG) WeldingFabrication experience is a plusRequirements:Must have good vision and dexterityMust be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of timeBe able to follow protocols and direction thoroughly and repetitivelyHigh School degree preferredExperience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environmentAbility to lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation3+ years of GTAW (TIG) welding of stainless steelMust pass a TIG welding testApplied Energy Systems is an equal opportunity/ affirmative action employer.Applied Energy Systems Inc is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
