Labor and Employment Counsel | Los Angeles, CA | $280,000-$305,000A national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment attorney to join its Los Angeles office.This opportunity offers a sophisticated management-side employment practice with a mix of litigation, counseling, and strategic client advisory work. The successful candidate will work directly with employers on high-exposure employment matters and serve as a trusted legal advisor on workplace issues.ResponsibilitiesDefend employers in single-plaintiff employment litigation mattersHandle claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, and reasonable accommodationManage PAGA and class action mattersTake and defend depositions, including plaintiffs and corporate representativesDraft and argue dispositive motions and discovery motionsManage cases from inception through resolution independentlyProvide day-to-day employment counseling on federal and California employment lawsAdvise clients on compliance, risk management, workplace investigations, and personnel decisionsWork directly with business leaders, human resources professionals, and in-house counselRequirementsSignificant labor and employment law experienceStrong background in employment litigation defenseExperience handling wage and hour mattersExperience with PAGA claimsExperience with class actionsExperience conducting and defending depositionsStrong motion practice experienceEmployment counseling experienceExcellent research, writing, and advocacy skillsActive California Bar admissionBenefitsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $280,000 - $305,000Bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k)Paid time off and firm holidaysProfessional development supportLong-term partnership-track potential
