Who you would be working for: Vertex Solutions is a direct-hire recruiting firm specializing in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) talent. They place project architects, project managers, MEP and structural engineers, interior designers, and BIM/VDC production professionals into AEC firms. They are looking for a salesperson from any industry who would be excited to pivot into becoming a Recruiter. Recruitment and sales are closely related. Instead of selling a product/service like you do today, you’ll be selling a “career change.” If you’re a high performer now, you probably will be here as well. Brian and Caleb (Founders and Managing Principals) are masters of their craft and they are ready to teach someone who has zero recruitment experience but has the personality, drive, and willingness to learn and work with urgency. What you’ll be doing: Run full-cycle direct-hire searches in the AEC space, from candidate outreach through offer acceptance Make 60-100 outbound calls a day off tightly mapped, pre-qualified lists (no cold sourcing, the lists are built for you) to reach passive candidates Lead consultative \"career conversations\" that build trust and rapport before ever pitching a role Partner directly with hiring managers and clients to close offers and manage the finish line Who we’re looking for: A sales professional with a genuine hunter mentality Real comfort with high call volume, this role lives on the phone A consultative, advisory communication style: someone who can listen, adapt, and hold a real conversation rather than read from a script Driven and coachable, with a desire to grow. Top performers here have a clear path into account management, team leadership, or sales Full-cycle recruiting is fast-paced, resilience and self-motivation matter more than a specific resume line The nuts and bolts: The role is onsite in their office in Las Colinas.
