Responsibilities:

• Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, medication administration, and assisting with examinations and treatments.
• Monitor inmate/resident health status, including hospitalizations and potential catastrophic illnesses.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate with contract and outside healthcare providers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all medical records and ensure security of medical supplies and equipment.
• Provide health counseling and education to inmates/residents.
• Prepare and maintain medical documentation, records, reports, and logs accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, policies, and accreditation standards.
• Respond to emergencies and facilitate necessary medical interventions.
• Review, process, and respond to legal actions involving medical services.
