Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Unit in Louisville, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and support security-related operations through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, following visitor procedures, and documenting security-related events in required logs and reports.
• Support site emergency and evacuation protocols by directing foot traffic, assisting with access control measures, and relaying information to the appropriate personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
