IT Security Specialist - Vulnerability Management

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist - Vulnerability Management for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for providing guidance and triaging issues related to security vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will serve as a point of contact for application teams, lead workstreams to remediate vulnerabilities, and partner with Global Technology teams to drive process improvements and prepare for a ServiceNow transition.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact for application teams and work with operations, engineering, and Information Security to resolve vulnerability remediation issues
• Lead workstreams in partnership with central teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities and violations
• Analyze data to identify, communicate, and drive prioritization
• Build relationships with key business partners to influence outcomes over time
• Identify process and automation improvement opportunities
• Lead projects to drive improvements to processes, reporting on status regularly with stakeholders and leadership
• Prepare for the enterprise transition to ServiceNow and provide strategic leadership

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management
• 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Management
• Experience with data analysis and presentation
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, analysis, etc.)
• Proven ability in problem resolution, particularly with security vulnerabilities
• Strong skills in project management, stakeholder management, and influencing outcomes
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and solution delivery processes

Desired skills:

• Experience with Confluence is a strong plus
• Previous domain expertise within a large enterprise CIO Application or CTI product portfolio is strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate, engage and build partnership at a senior leadership level
• Self-starter, intellectually curious, and an eagerness to learn
• Able to work in a very fluid, fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed environment
• Strong organizational skills

Pay range: $79.74 - $87.74 per hour
