Details Work in the ICU of a hospital setting Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Patient ratio of 1:2 Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per month Floating required to other ICUs including MICU, Neuro, TICU, and Burn Holiday coverage required No on-call requirements Epic charting system preferred Requirements Active LA RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration Current certifications: ACLS and BLS CCRN certification preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Prior charge nurse experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management Experience with ventilator management and ABG interpretation Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and renal patient management preferred Experience with cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia management Critical Care Course completion preferred Additional Information Unit does not accept first-time travelers Navy blue scrubs required Must reside within 75-mile radius to qualify for local rate Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before becoming eligible for travel positions Strict maximum of 5 days RTO during the assignment Provide critical care to complex ICU patients including those requiring hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and multi-organ support American Traveler Job ID P-750125.
