Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiographer

Salary: $41.66 – $69.63 per hour (DOE)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer) to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations that produce high-quality images of the heart for accurate clinical evaluation. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care while collaborating closely with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to support timely and accurate diagnoses.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, technical proficiency in echocardiography, and excellent communication skills to ensure patient comfort and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment
• Produce high-quality cardiac images for physician interpretation
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures
• Explain imaging procedures and address patient concerns
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams regarding imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
• Follow departmental protocols and quality assurance standards
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program
• ARDMS Registered or registry eligible in Adult Echocardiography required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience
• Experience in a rural hospital setting preferred
• Additional ultrasound experience in abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, or vascular imaging preferred
