Supply Chain Technician - Receiving - Full Time - New Orleans

This job processes and distributes supplies and equipment to various hospital departments. It involves obtaining receipt and delivery of materials, inspecting bill of lading and visual appearance of shipments, maintaining par levels, restocking, rotating supplies, decontaminating reusable materials, assisting in inventory, processing special requests, performing cycle counts, and other general housekeeping duties. Responsibilities Maintain inventory and cleanliness in storeroom and par locations. Ensure supplies are accurately charged when removed from inventory. Organize delivery carts efficiently according to delivery locations. Deliver items according to designation on receiving report. Maintain an accurate delivery log for non P.O. deliveries. Obtain signatures for all deliveries. Inspect and receive deliveries for hospital, clinic, and administrative areas. Perform inventory tasks, including cycle counts and end‑of‑year inventories. Identify and address internal and external customer needs. Pick up and deliver supplies, equipment, mail, pharmaceuticals, and other materials to/from campus and designated offsite locations while maintaining logs. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Education Required – High school diploma or equivalent. Work Experience Required – None. Preferred – Experience in a materials management or healthcare environment. Certifications Required – Valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle. Forklift certification required if working at Warehouse District Row location within 30 days of hire. Preferred – Supply chain or inventory management certification(s). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to travel throughout and between facilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on‑call availability). Physical and Environmental Demands Very Heavy Work – Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Jobs may involve moving objects repeatedly throughout the shift. Duties may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potentially hazardous materials.
