General Production Worker

Job Title: Production Worker / Warehouse Associate 5am-1:30pm Potential OT

Job Description

This role focuses on hands-on production and packaging work in a warehouse environment, assembling boxes and cartons, packing items according to specific factory orders, and supporting general production and kitting activities. You will work on various production lines, including packaging empty bottles and preparing products with brochures and inserts, while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes, cartons, and crates according to specific factory orders and guidelines.

• Perform kitting tasks by adding brochures, paper inserts, and instruction sheets into product packages as required.

• Work on a conveyor belt line, placing items into boxes, taping boxes securely, and packing larger boxes for shipment.

• Support other production lines, including handling empty bottles (from 3 oz to 16 oz) and packing them into boxes for mouthwash customers.

• Perform general production and warehouse associate duties, including assembly, packing, and material handling.

• Count items accurately and ensure all products are packaged according to order specifications.

• Use basic hand tools when required to support assembly and packaging activities.

• Inspect products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and completeness before shipment.

• Follow all production, warehouse, and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.

• Support additional assembly lines as needed, including wiring and assembly work related to ultraviolet resource lighting products.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, assembly, and packaging work.

• Ability to perform general production and warehouse associate tasks, including working on production lines and packing.

• Strong verbal communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members.

• High attention to detail to ensure accurate counting, packaging, and kitting.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Problem-solving skills to address minor issues on the line and maintain workflow.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout the shift.

• Ability to use hands continuously to create, fold, and assemble boxes.

• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.

• Basic inspection skills to check products and packaging for quality and completeness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Wiring and assembly experience is a plus, especially for work on ultraviolet resource lighting products used in medical facilities, airports, and similar environments.

• Previous experience in warehouse, production line, or general production roles is beneficial.

• Comfort working with hand tools for basic assembly tasks.

• Reliability and consistency in showing up on time and completing assigned tasks.

• Willingness to learn different production lines and adapt to changing order requirements.

Work Environment

The role is based on the production side of the building, with minimal noise levels compared to heavier industrial settings. Work is primarily performed on and around conveyor belt lines and production stations, with frequent standing, walking, and manual handling of boxes and materials. Attire should be suitable for a warehouse and production environment, allowing for safe and comfortable movement while performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fontana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
