Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Barrington, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care for neonates, including participation in baby stabilization and transport preparation for infants 32 weeks gestation and older. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Barrington, IL
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in neonatal intensive care or similar setting
• Responsibilities include attending and participating in baby stabilization for infants 32 weeks and older, stabilizing and preparing transport for under 32 weeks gestation newborns, supporting the charge nurse who may take patient assignments, and assisting with peripheral blood draws.
• Other notes: Staff will assist with charting in EPIC electronic health record system, utilize Alaris Pyxi Bridge for donor and breast milk administration, and complete at least one orientation shift to learn unit flow.
• Additional Information: Charge nurse role may include patient assignments; reception coverage is 24/7 on the maternal/baby unit; neonatologists are available for rounds daily; on-call obstetrician available 24/7; phlebotomy support for blood draws.
