About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years preferred License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: Attend and participate in baby stabilization for neonates, 32 weeks and up. Stabilize and prepare transport for newborns under 32 weeks’ gestation. Description: This facility has 176 beds and is recognized as a Level 2 Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center. The facility has a Level 2E NICU designation and is Magnet designated. The unit includes 10 bays and 1 isolation room, providing care to neonates, 32 weeks and up. Patient ratios are RN: 1:1-3, based on acuity for both day and night shifts. Support on the unit includes a charge nurse who may take patient assignments, a receptionist available 24/7, and pediatric hospitalists on call around the clock. Neonatologists conduct daily rounds. On-call obstetricians are available 24/7. Phlebotomy services assist with peripheral blood draws. The charting system in use includes EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis, with bridge access for donor milk and breast milk administration.
