CNC Set-Up Technician

Position Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule Information
- Monday - Friday
- 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Training Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Approximately 3 weeks of training on 1st shift
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-5 years of CNC lathe setup experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and production changeovers
- Ability to read and interpret G and M codes
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators
- Knowledge of machining processes, including hard turning, milling, broaching, and part finishing
- Understanding of manufacturing and machining processes in high-volume production environments
- Experience with robot or gantry pickup point adjustments preferred
- Knowledge of Nachi robot controls is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities during off shifts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Perform CNC lathe setups and production machine changeovers
- Troubleshoot machine and production issues during operation
- Make tooling adjustments and support CNC programming changes
- Replace indicators, chucks, tooling, and other components as needed for production changes
- Troubleshoot loading devices and minor machine issues
- Read and interpret G and M codes to support machine setup and operation
- Verify product quality and tolerances using precision measuring equipment
- Make adjustments based on measurement and production data
- Support robot and gantry pickup point adjustments when needed
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues
- Help maintain production efficiency and minimize machine downtime
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
