Nurse Hematology/Oncology

Schedule

10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with no set day off, no weekends, and no major holidays.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 14

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology/infusion, including triage and phlebotomy.
• Experience with port access, IV starts, and lab draws.
• BLS certification required; chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls from patients, families, and referring offices.
• Perform follow-up calls to patients as instructed by the provider.
• Administer ordered injections, manage pump disconnects, and provide vaccines.
• Review and triage lab/x-ray results and notify medical practitioners of critical values.
• Document patient interactions and vitals in electronic health record systems.
• Conduct in-office procedures such as EKGs and assist with other procedures as needed.
