Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is with a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support accounts payable, payroll, and vendor management functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, provide excellent customer service, and ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This role offers exposure to a variety of accounting responsibilities and the opportunity to support operational efficiency across multiple departments. This role is fully in office, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, payments, and monthly accounts payable close activities while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage vendor maintenance, utility billing processes, reporting, and year-end 1099 preparation
• Provide support to vendors, internal managers, and employees regarding accounts payable and billing inquiries
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior accounts payable experience required with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience processing invoices, vendor maintenance, and account reconciliations in an accounting system
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Bill.com or similar platforms preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment
