Description

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients of all ages using both standardized tools and thoughtful observations.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that align with patients' immediate objectives and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Administer tailored speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, vocal skills, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in collaborative approaches with fellow healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide insightful education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout various healthcare settings.
• Keep detailed and timely records that comply with state and federal regulations as well as organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional growth to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
