Medical Assistant PositionPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Shoreline, WA 98133. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Name: Medical AssistantLocation: Shoreline, WA 98133Job Type: Local ContractDuration: 3-month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm. Float: Yes, 1 - 2 times / week between Shoreline and Edmonds location.Pay rate: $27 - $29/hr. On W2. Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Responsibilities:Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight).Record patient medical history, medications, and allergies in the EMR/EHR.Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and prepare samples for laboratory testing.Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.Perform EKGs and other basic diagnostic tests.Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and process referrals.Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms and medical equipment.Answer patient calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.MA-C is required.Current, BLS CertificationPride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
