Diagnostic Services Registered Nurse (RN) La Jolla, CA
A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients undergoing specialized diagnostic and imaging procedures. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who enjoy patient education, clinical assessments, and providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor patient status before, during, and after diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist with specialized testing and imaging-related procedures
- Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately when needed
- Educate patients regarding procedures, preparation requirements, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care
- Support quality patient care initiatives and department workflow
- Provide compassionate and professional patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous nursing experience required
- Outpatient, diagnostic services, procedural, or imaging experience preferred
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
