RN Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The LDRP Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including newborn care. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while serving as a professional resource. The nurse works in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum setting, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within the care team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to obstetrical patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases.
• Care for newborns using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Serve as a self-motivated professional nurse and resource person within the unit.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule as required.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant nursing experience.
• Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Reliable transportation due to remote facility location.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) nursing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Special Considerations:

• Participation in rotational on-call schedule is mandatory.
• Facility is located remotely; reliable transportation is essential.
• Only candidates residing outside a 250-mile radius of the facility are considered, excluding most in-state applicants.

Scheduling:

• Works 36 hours per week in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit.
• Shift assignments and schedules include rotational on-call duties.
