Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerDecatur, Illinois, United StatesPosition ID: P-774720Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-16$2,275.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with cardiac or CVICU experience for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and an active IL license.Details20-bed ICU with 1:2 patient ratiosNight shift schedule (3x12 hours, 1800-0630)Required to work every other weekendNo on-call requirementsFloating required within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as neededUses Cerner charting systemRequirementsActive IL RN license required at time of applicationMinimum 2 years of ICU experience requiredCurrent ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredAHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not acceptedCardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG acquisitionPre/post cardiac catheterization and intervention experience requiredChronic/acute renal failure experience requiredIV therapy skills required, including port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV startsExperience with continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips requiredCVA/acute stroke management experience requiredRespiratory/thoracic skills required, including BiPAP and CPAP management, ventilator care, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioningKnowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and code blue/rapid response protocols requiredAdditional InformationProvide critical care nursing to cardiac and complex ICU patients in a Level II Trauma CenterFacility has 372 staffed bedsScrub color required is royal blueParking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLocal candidates accepted with no radius restrictionPrevious permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a travelerTravel pairs are not acceptedRTO should ideally be no more than 5 daysRequired to work 2 of the 3 major holidaysHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
