Every day you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit. Recognizes emergency situations (including life threatening arrhythmias) and responds effectively and appropriately. Notifies the RN/Physician with rhythm changes in a proactive approach. Validates clinical alarms. Anticipates patient/unit needs during emergency/code situations without requiring directionDocumentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with computerized documentation systemPrecepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff and ancillary personnel in a constructive and positive mannerSelf-Development: Continues education by attending non-mandatory education offerings specific to area of practice. Maintains awareness of issues related to Cardiac carePatient Safety: Applies safety precautions and principles to patient care, including all applicable National Patient Safety Goals, and adherence to medication management policies and proceduresRequired:One year Hospital patient care as a Cardiovascular Technician.
