Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Summary:

Provide advanced nursing care to cardiac ICU patients in a high-acuity, trauma-centered environment. Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through expert clinical skills and adherence to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for cardiac ICU patients.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and interpret patient vitals, neurological status, and cardiac rhythms continuously.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely interventions.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and certification requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold active RN license in the state or a compact license at the time of submission.
  
  
• 
  Possess ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Have recent ICU experience, specifically in cardiac or CVICU settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work night shifts (4x12 hours) efficiently in a trauma and stroke-certified facility.
  
  
• 
  Comply with travel and onboarding policies, including completion of core modules within 48 hours.
