Operations TechnicianThis position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.The impact you'll make in this role:Leads water quality stewardship by promoting safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.Implements robust and reliable water treatment operations through the latest technologies for water processing and equipment reliability.Collaborates with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and contractors to resolve problems and to implement projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.Supports operational excellence through standardization, organization, documentation, data tracking and analysis, training, audits, and continuous improvement.Willingness to be on-call to resolve urgent issues.Your skills and expertise:High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionSeven (7) years of utilities and/or water systems experience in a private, public, government or military environmentThree (3) years of wastewater treatment experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionSkills include problem-solving, project management, and teamworkKnowledge of state and federal water quality permitting and regulationsWork location: Cottage Grove, MNTravel: May include up to 10% travel (up to 20% first year)Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
