The Health Insurance Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting daily administrative operations within the health insurance domain. This position involves regular communication with insurance providers, managing sensitive patient information, and utilizing database management systems to maintain accurate records. The assistant ensures smooth service delivery through effective customer support, precise data entry, and efficient appointment scheduling. Front office (not back office) experience in health insurance is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
• Perform accurate data entry tasks
• Schedule and coordinate appointments
• Maintain organized records and files
• Manage databases using relevant software systems, including Act / Database
• Communicate regularly with insurance providers
• Handle confidential patient information with care and discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in health insurance administration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with health insurance terminology
• Strong data entry accuracy
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
