Responsibilities River Oaks Hospital, located minutes outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 126-bed psychiatric facility that has provided quality treatment to individuals suffering from mental illness and/or addictive disorders since 1970. Situated on a 14-acre campus, inpatient services are available for adults and adolescents. We also offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults. For more information please visit: The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Coastal Harbor Health System senior leadership team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a hands‑on approach and keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred within first year in role. Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices, regulatory guidelines, and management. Five or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a free‑standing behavioral health setting preferred Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
