Contract (12 Weeks) | Days / Nights | Rotating 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Weekend, Holiday, and On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized peri-anesthesia care in a high-acuity 28-bay PACU unit serving patients across the full lifespan and spectrum of acuity, 24/7/365
• Deliver vigilant pre- and post-operative care to inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery across more than 20 surgical and procedural services
• Perform titration of vasopressors, airway management, and care of ventilated patients
• Administer blood products and perform fluid resuscitation as indicated
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio while managing patients ranging from neonates through geriatrics
• Float within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope as required; participate in on-call shifts (7a–7:30p and 7p–7:30a), with 1–2 twelve-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• Strong ICU experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
• Ability and willingness to work weekends (3 shifts per 4-week period), holidays as scheduled, and required on-call shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients across the full lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Familiarity with a broad array of surgical and medical specialties in a high-volume perioperative environment
• PALS certification (AHA only) and/or NRP or AAP certification
