Elementary Building Secretary, Mogadore Local School District, School Year

Position: 8 hours (generally 8:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.); 235 Days/Year; 11 Months/Year; 1880 Hours/Year. Salary and Benefits as per MESA Negotiated Agreement Start Date: 2026/2027 School Year Reports To: Principal Position Summary Provides clerical and confidential support to the Principal. Serves as a key point of contact for staff, students and families, ensuring efficient daily operations of the office. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Core Responsibilities Register, enroll, and withdraw students and maintain student permanent record files Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date student residency records Request and release new and withdrawn student records Answer phone and route calls appropriately Manage emails and general inquiries Handle mail and deliveries Order office and educational supplies Arrange for repair of copy machines as needed Track placement of substitute teachers Generate requisitions in the Fiscal Application for teachers and the principal Manage intake, payment processing and deposits of student class fees, fines and activity funds Maintain faculty and staff payroll and attendance records, and forward to the treasurer's office every two weeks Administrator for Progress Book Suite and FinalForms Update and enter all data in Student Information System (SIS), including data for Education Management Information System (EMIS), DataMap, FinalForms, student profiles, special education data, schedules, report cards, special reports, etc. Coordinate distribution of report cards, honor and merit rolls Coordinate teacher opening and closing year forms and related materials Coordinate, update and submit the materials for the student handbook and staff handbook Manage a calendar for building and grounds use Compile yearly reports for the school nurse Assist Technology Liaison with updates and information for the school website Perform general typing, filing, and other routine office tasks Perform any other duties as assigned by the principal Qualifications High school diploma (minimum) Satisfactory BCI and FBI background checks Ability to pass written and computer exams or satisfactory completion of job performance assessments Prior clerical experience, preferably in an educational setting Ability to work with NEOnet databases, Google Workspace and FinalForms Strong organizational and multitasking skills Professional communication with staff, parents, and students Ability to handle confidential information appropriately High level of professionalism and discretion Office setting within an elementary school building Must be able to perform responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Additional Working Conditions Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue Occasional interaction with unruly children Occasional exposure to temperatures above 100°F and below 32°F Noise level frequently loud, requiring raised voice to be heard Physical activity involving use of arms and legs #J-18808-Ljbffr
