Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a geropsychiatric unit, including assessment, monitoring and documentation of symptoms and changes in condition
- Conduct mental and physical assessments, maintain accurate histories and progress notes
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; observe and report responses and adverse effects
- Plan, implement and coordinate nursing care activities; lead daily groups and 1:1 sessions as part of the therapeutic milieu; assist with discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and outside health and social agencies to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Complete required documentation in a timely and thorough manner, including admission assessments and ongoing progress notes

Requirements
- Active New Hampshire RN license
- BLS certification
- Education: 2-year Associate degree or diploma from a 3-year nursing program required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 1 year nursing experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to work on a geropsychiatric unit and to perform duties on a night shift in a travel assignment
