As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $27.76 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Fri: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements. Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
