Customer Service Representative

Position Summary


We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our growing custom textile manufacturing team in Bridgeview, IL. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting with custom cover orders from initial inquiry through production and delivery. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience using QuickBooks to process orders, invoices, and customer accounts.

Essential Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and online customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist customers with product information, custom order requests, pricing, and order status.
• Prepare customer quotes and enter sales orders accurately.
• Process invoices, payments, and customer records using QuickBooks .
• Coordinate with the production team to communicate customer specifications, measurements, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer files, order documentation, and shipping information.
• Monitor order progress and proactively update customers on production and shipping timelines.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns while providing exceptional customer service.
• Process returns, warranty inquiries, and order adjustments in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with scheduling shipments and preparing shipping documentation.
• Support general office and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service or administrative experience , preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience using QuickBooks is required.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with custom-made or manufactured products.
• Knowledge of order processing, invoicing, and inventory systems.
• Experience coordinating production schedules or working with manufacturing teams.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or other shipping software is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and scanners.
