Surgical Technologist 2 (Surg Tech)

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist 2 to join the OR team. Surgical Technologist 2 Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical technique.
• Demonstrates responsible behavior as a healthcare professional. Identifies variances from expected outcomes and responds to changes in patient needs.
• The Surgical Technologist 2 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon, which includes passing instruments, sutures, and other items appropriate to the procedure.
• Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas/procedures.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Experience : 1 years of Surgical Technologist experience or equivalent
• Certification : Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
• License : Registered Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start
