We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Gastroenterologist to join our team within the Division of Gastroenterology. While a focus on General GI is preferred, we are also open to candidates with additional specialized skills.

The primary clinical responsibilities will be outpatient-based, with an even distribution between clinic work and endoscopy procedures at both the hospital and an ambulatory surgery center. Candidates will be expected to actively engage in teaching fellows, residents, and students. We offer mentorship and dedicated time for professional development.

Our Division comprises 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, specializing in areas such as therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and genetics. The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is expanding, with faculty practicing at the University Hospital, Riverside County Hospital, and the VA. This position will primarily be based at the University location, focusing on teaching fellows and residents. Our faculty includes nationally recognized experts in hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and IBD, fostering a collegial environment dedicated to patient care and education.

Faculty members in the Department of Medicine are encouraged to pursue academic interests through teaching and research, as well as provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems. The starting base salary for this position ranges from $450,000 to $525,000, depending on years of experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation plans.
